Construction works are progressing on Liverpool’s new NSW Ambulance Superstation. When completed in 2017, it will be one of the biggest ambulance stations by vehicle capacity in the Southern Hemisphere.

NSW Ambulance Chief Executive, Commissioner Dominic Morgan and local paramedics today inspected main works construction at the Hoxton Park Road site, the former home of the Liverpool City Council Chambers.

The Liverpool Superstation will replace the current station on Forbes Street which was originally built in the 1920’s to accommodate two officers.

The new Superstation is reflective of the growing population in Greater Western Sydney. It will have parking bays for up to 40 ambulance vehicles, compared to four parking bays at the current station on Forbes Street.
