Artist's impression of the Bankstown Superstation

Bankstown Paramedic Response Network

The Bankstown Superstation sits at the heart of the new Bankstown Paramedic Response Network cluster and is where paramedics go to start and end their shift.

Local clusters are composed of a superstation, existing ambulance stations and smaller, standby stations called Paramedic Response Points.

As NSW Ambulance is a mobile workforce that usually sees metropolitan paramedics respond from one patient to the next, the Paramedic Response Points will serve as a location from which paramedics can also respond throughout their shift.

This new operating model will ensure NSW Ambulance paramedics are strategically placed to meet the emergency medical needs of metropolitan Sydney communities now and into the future.

Bankstown Superstation

Located at 96 Canterbury Road, the Bankstown Superstation is a major investment in local ambulance services to support patients in the Bankstown community and the surrounding area.

This Superstation includes:
  • Parking bays for up to 30 ambulance vehicles
  • Administration, office areas and amenities
  • On site staff parking
  • A logistics and storage area.
Construction has been completed and the Bankstown superstation commenced operations in 2017.
