Artist's impression of the Penrith Superstation
Penrith Paramedic Response Network
The Penrith Superstation sits at the heart of the new Penrith Paramedic Response Network cluster and is where paramedics go to start and end their shift.
Local clusters is composed of a superstation, existing ambulance stations and smaller, standby stations called Paramedic Response Points.
As NSW Ambulance is a mobile workforce that usually sees metropolitan paramedics respond from one patient to the next, the Paramedic Response Points will serve as a location from which paramedics can also respond throughout their shift.
This new operating model will ensure NSW Ambulance paramedics are strategically placed to meet the emergency medical needs of metropolitan Sydney communities now and into the future.
Penrith Superstation
Located at 141-152 High Street, the Penrith Superstation is a major investment in local ambulance services, designed to support patients in the Penrith community and the surrounding area.
The Penrith Superstation includes:
Parking for 22 ambulance vehicles
Administration, office areas and amenities
On site staff parking
A logistics and storage area
An external wash bay.
Construction has been completed and the Penrith superstation commenced operations in 2017.
